Title: Help with this bow ID
Post by: bisket on September 14, 2015, 11:02:00 AM
My nephew was given this bow to shoot.  Not sure who made it, but it looks like a solid old longbow.  I know it is marked S K with 68" and 48# @ 28"  but who made it?  Looks like lemonwood or Osage maybe with a real thin strip of micarta on back of bow.  I did a little searching on here and looks to be American archery?  If the micarta comes apart in a few places is it safe to shoot?

I have an American archery bow with a similar grip, and marked with a punch like that.
