Title: howatt mamba ( pics added )
Post by: kevsuperg on September 20, 2015, 12:19:00 PM
picked up a howatt sharpshooter 20 at a local flea marked for 30$.  stamped 45#, no string but looks to be in decent shape. leather grip, feather rest.
only info i can find states it was made in the late 50s.
just wondered if anyone has any other info about these bows.  thanks kevin

I would just check it closely before shooting.  You have a 60 year old bow and some of those glues used then can turn to dust quickly.  Of course, there are plenty of those oldies still being shot.

BTW, check the serial #.  If it begins with a "1", then you have a bow made by Mr. Howatt himself.

Hard to see the serial #  could be 5363 also after a light cleaning I see it's a 46#
if I get a chance I'll post up some pics
  Thanks
