I got a JC Higgins adult archery set today at an auction. It's all in good shape. Could anybody give me an idea of its worth, or maybe just some info about it? Thanks.

Probably worth about whatever you paid for it

Cool find! Great for display. I would enjoy it or allow it to be displayed at a local archery shop.
I unfortunately don't know much about it. Hopefully someone here does.

Nice set! I had a JC higgins set similar which included the glass TD bow which was made by Ben Pearson for Sears in the 50's/early 60's. A collector gave me $200 for it and would say your set it worth that to the right person.
BTW, the JC Higgins name, used by Sears for 50 years, was retired in favor of Ted Williams who retired from baseball around 1960.
Your bow looks like the wood one piece model since the TD was packed in a short box.

I think it would make a good display piece in an archery shop as mentioned. Value is a crap shoot most of the time.
I think it is solid glass by the looks of the handle.

Thanks for the input. The bow is actually a fiberglass bow. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to display it in my house. My wife wants it hanging on the wall somewhere so I'll have to figure something out.

To me you have already passed the toughest test in having a wife who wants to hang it on the wall.
Also, if the bow is in a weight you can handle you may find it a darn good shooter. I still have a Pearson model 304 solid fiberglass bow and one of my classic favorites.

I agree Lon. I was shooting an old Brown Bear yesterday. Fun to shoot, very quiet. I have an old two piece Pearson I am going to make a string for so I can compare the two
