Title: Martin Serial Number and Brace Info
Post by: DarrinG on March 12, 2017, 01:28:00 PM
If this is the wrong forum to post this question on, please forgive me.

I would like to date a Martin X200 I have, serial number is: 2342.

Also any advice on what the proper brace height is recommended by Martin for this particular year model?

Thank you in advance.

I don't know on the date but brace height for that bow is 7-3/4"-8" but the one my good buddy has he shoots it @8-1/4.  Ice bows

Thank you Nate.
I have heard that the first number in the serial represents the year. I'm guessing the bow in question is either a 1992 or a 2002. This bow shoots very well but I've got some tuning to do with it.

No problem. I actually checked with my buddy he said you can shoot hat bow up to 8-1/2" . Sorry I can't help you with the year.  I don't know much about Martins other than they are great shooters.

The X200 is not one of Martin's upper-end bows, but this little X200 I have recently acquired is a dandy shooter. No frills but it shoots where I'm looking and fits me well. So well I just might convince myself that it will be my treestand bow this coming fall.

Ive done about all the research I can on the net and best I can tell is it is probably a 2002 model.
