Title: This old Howatt
Post by: monterey on May 23, 2017, 04:20:00 PM
I've had this bow since the early 80's.  Got it in a trade and was wondering if anyone can provide any info on it based on the SN. Not sure if it'll show in the picture, but it's a Monterey.

This was my favorite bow for many years but one day it just split up the limb from the string nock.  It may have been damaged on the tip but it's not certain.  Tips are narrow and delicate.

That Monterey is a 1962. You can tell by the "V" suffix letter after the first two letters, EM. (Eldorado Monterey)

That suffix letter changed every year from 1961 on up until 1967. 1968-69 had the suffix letter O and 1970-1971 had the suffix P.

From 1972 on the first number in the serial number was the year in a particular decade the bow was built.
