Title: Ben Pearson Identification
Post by: ndrich on January 22, 2018, 10:18:00 AM
Looking for information on an old Ben Pearson longbow. The only identifying marks are in the pictures. I am hoping to get a possible time period and a possible value to the bow. Thank you for any help you can give.

Your bow was made in the 1950's. It is a lemonwood longbow and Pearson sold a lot of them. It originally sold for 7.50 to 11.00. They are pretty common and today they have sold for as little as 20.00 to as much as 50.00. Some people like to decorate with them and hang them on the wall.

I have a bow that looks very much like this bow. Mine has a black backing, but I am not sure what it is. I found my bow in an on-line copy of the 1942 Ben Pearson catalog.
