Hey there all you trad gang folks that have been praying for my husband,Keenan. He has often shown me the awesome posts on this site and I have read many of the prayers for Keenan. I can only say I am humbeled at best, and that the Lord is awesome in how he works in us and through us. I wanted to post an update on Keenan's surgery and recovery. Keenan's surgery went great and his aneuyrsm is totally repaired now. Praise the Lord! However, he has had a very difficult recovery. He spent a week in the hospital, it seems he is allergic to all pain medication and was very sick from all the drugs.
He decided to tough it out and stop all the drugs except Tylenol, and that has helped him feel better and he was able to come home yesterday. He is still in quite a bit of pain and recovery will be slow, but the wonderful thing is that he is home with his family now.Keenan is an amazingly tough guy and I know each and every day he will get stronger. I knew he was feeling better when he noticed a tree outside the hospital window and decided there was a branch that would make a great bow stave.
He has to take it easy for the next 6 to 8 weeks, and before long I am sure he will be able to post his own update.
So thank you to everyone for all your prayers , we know that the Lord answers the prayers of those who love him. We are a testimony to that!!
Blessings to all you folks at Trad Gang. LuLyn Howard (Keenan's loving wife)

Whahoo! :) I second my NY friend's statement that makes the day! With so much bad news of late, your update Lulyn, is AWESOME. Thank you Jesus, for ministering to our brother Keenan.
Prayers continue for healing and strength. I have had much the same reaction to pain meds. The darned naprosin stuff helped me more than most but on blood thinners, that's a no-no! :(
Lord won't give Keenan more'n he can handle. But it might not be fun. During this transition time, we hope our prayers and well wishes can keep him bouyed!

I'm sorry that I missed the original post about Keenan's surgery but relieved to hear that he has come through it and is getting better every day. Take it slow and easy as the Doc says and you'll be creating more beautiful selfbows before too long. Our family's prayers are with you and yours.

Thanks everyone for all the prayers and support, God is covered and truly blessed us with many freinds helping to cover the home front. The day after my surgery while I was in ICU. About 15 guys from our church showed up here at my house and cut and split about 5 cords of wood, filling our barn for the up coming snow. they also got the rest of the hay in for us.
Many people have stopped by inquiring what was going on and who were all those people cutting wood.
On top of that, they didn't cut up my piles of stave materials and even added some good pieces.
Getting stronger everyday, but can't do much but walk for 8 weeks. Hoping the sturnum getting healed up enough to hunt the late season....... God bless,,,,,,, Keenan

Ain't it grand what power lies in us when we band together as did your friends... Allowing others really does their hearts good, Keenan.
Glad to hear you're up and around. Good too, to hear how you've given Him the Glory for all that has gone well amdist it all.
Praises to Him who heals.
