Title: My wifes grand father
Post by: 702plmo on November 16, 2006, 12:12:00 AM
My wifes grandfather Ward is 78 years old.   He had a multi bypass surgery 20 years ago.   About 3 months ago he had a series of small heart attacks and recovered pretty good.   He was out riding his horses about a month after the heart attacks.    Today he went in the hospital for a cath.    The doctors decided while he was under they would install a defib.   the surgery went well and he is expected to be home with in the next couple of days.     In his younger days he was a avid hunter.  He sure can tell some stories.   My son (His great Grandson looks up to him)   Please include him in you prayers.

The pic is my son and his great grand parents; Marge and Ward

P.S. document the stories your grandfather tells, I wish I had done that with my grandmother.

Wow! Ward is a tough ole bird! They tell us today that bypass grafts usually only are good for up to 5 years adn then often need to be re-done!!!     His lasted 20 years!

Hope the defib thinggy works out well for him.

Prayers for a full and speedy recovery and many more years to regale folks with his years of wisdom and learning.

Thanks for the prayers,  I was over at his house today and he was up walking around.   I even got him out into the barn to help me look for some old leg hold traps that he had.    I am getting back into trapping,  my 8yr old wanted to learn.  I thought that it would be neat for him to learn with some of the traps his great grandfather used at one time.
