I debated about putting this on this year. But there are so many that have joined in the last year. I thought this might be an encouragement to those that have lost someone in the past around Christmas time and this is a tough time of the year. Merry Christmas... John
I'M SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST THIS YEAR
(Author unknown)
I see the countless Christmas trees,
Around the world below
With tiny lights, like heaven's stars,
Reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular,
Please wipe away that tear,
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.
For I have no words to tell you,
The joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description
To hear an angel sing.
I can't tell you of the splendor,
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas
With our Savior face to face?
I'll ask Him to light your spirit,
As I tell Him of your love.
So then pray one for another
As you lift your eyes above.
Please let your heart be joyful,
And let your spirit sing,
For I'm spending Christmas in heaven
And I'm walking with the King!

Thanks for bringing it back for others... :)

Thanks! I'm focusing on the Lord this year and all of His promises and blessings in the past.
After spending over two years in a Men's Group at Saddleback Community Church called Separated Men's Group, where we worked on our relationship with God and ourselves, I can tell you that Christmas is a very difficult time for those going through divorce that did not or do not want it and for their children.
We face many losses and disappointments (trials in life). God is Always There for Us!
Let's pray for them all.

Thanks! for the post. I'm a new member.
That poem is great. My father went on to be with the Lord this past August, I can almost here him recite it in his deep bass voice. Although I know he's a whole lot better off than we are, it still hurts and I miss him.
Once again thanks for sharing.

Also, prayers for our troops and their families as they sacrifice for us each and every day.
