I had the privelege to meet a young lady named Ashley today, and her father named Bruce, great people. She suffers from cystic fibrosis, she is 19 years old. I got to talking with Ashley and asked her if she ever asked Jesus into her heart, she said she thought so but wasn't sure, I asked her if she knew she was headed to Heaven when that time came, and she replied she HOPED so. I was uncertain as to her relationship with jesus until she made this coment " My brother died when he was 12 years old from cystic fibrosis, and I KNOW he is Heaven" I asked her how she knew he was there, she said "he was a good boy". I knew what I had to do, we talked about how just being good was not a ticket into Heaven, and asked if she wanted me to share from God's word how she can KNOW, without the shadow of a doubt that she can rest eternally in Heaven when her time comes and she said yes!!!!! As I began taking that trip down Romans road, I was a little uncertains as to her motives, was it to pease me or did she REALLY want something being offered form God today. A nurse came in and started to interrupt us, and she asked the nurse to wait and come back in a little while, that we were busy, I knew then that she had a divine appointment with the master, and I was merely an onlooker with the map to her destination, she read from Romans and John, and she asked Jesus into heart right there. what an honor that God can use a sinner such as myself to share the gospel, I am not sure how much time Ashley may have, or myself or YOU for that matter, but I do KNOW a man that does, and I am so glad that He reached way down and saw that I was lost and undone and called out to me and provided a way for me to cross that valley.
Please pray for Ashley

Brad,
You have witnessed in ways many of us only wish we could do and don't in fear of failure. Thank you.
What a blessing to be a part of such a time of leading another to Christ.
Keep on keeping on brother. You made God smile today...and often.
Prayers for Ashley.

Ashely continues to struggle with her CF, she is headed to Pittsburg soon to be placed on the transplant wait list, we call and talk back and back and forth as she is able, at times her lungs aren't strong enough. I want to ask you all to be in prayer for Ashley and the finacial strain this put on her family, our church along with CF of Pa, and an organization called "walk-on foundation" are putting on a fund raiser on Nov 21 here in Middleburg, she will have over 110,000.00 out of pocket expence for her surgery, and that doesn't cover the cost of her family visiting her. right now she is about 2 hours from home, when she goes to Pittsburgh, she will be about 4 hours from home. I can't imagine having a daughter that far from home and not have the funds to be able to visit her, and especially not knowing from one day to the next how long you will have with her.
please pray for these needs, we serve a GREAT BIG GOD, and He performs miracles everyday, help me pray for one for Ashley....please!!!
LOrd Bless ya,
Brad

Praying for Ashley....

If you see her again tell her; That the breath of God fills more than just the lungs. That panic, fear and helplessness is not the air that he sends and prayers are not a 'good by' but a hello.'
My prayers for sure. Been there... the last ten years of my dads life.

Any news about Ashley's transplant?
-
Guys,
Brad was someone I knew reasonably well here in NE PA. Shortly after his last post, his email went dead. I knew he and his family were struggling a lot... his wife had several neck surgeries and then her employer, one of the medical conglomerate hospitals so prevelant today, threatened to fire her if she had more surgery, etc... so something has happened and I've no real way to connect with them.
Keep them in prayers as well. I suspect economic issues complicated by her health as she was the major bread winner while Brad built his ministry career.

Thank you Doc I will keep him and his in prayer. I wish we could find out some news about Ashley, I know the whole transplant life style and feel for her and her family. O well I have been praying for her and will continue.

God knows her needs and hears our prayers for all. Just wish too I could know what's shaking with Brad. His email's gone, etc. Hopefully, just cuttin expenses...
