Title: ******TRADGANERS PLEASE READ.ITS A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH
Post by: legends1 on November 11, 2009, 01:26:00 PM: We all see every day on the news warning of the spread of the Swine Flu.Let me tell you all this thing is very real.Two weeks ago my nephew Steven in Omaha Nabraska contacted the Swine flu virus.He and all of us believed that he was just very sick with that flu and would get over it.His condition didnt, day after day seemed to only get worse.He went back to his doctor and was put into the hospital.Within two days he was put into intensive care.This morning at 4:00am i recieved a call that we all were dreading.Sterven lost is fight.Steven is a 28 year old heathy man.PLEASE! If you or someone you know gets a flu like sickness take it serious.Us men are the worst.We dont like to go to the doctor tell its the last resort.
In the morning we fly out to Naraska.Legends Bows will be closed until our return in a week or so.Think about this guys and take care of yourself wash your hand and stay away from others who maybe ill.Together we can fight this virus and not have it take us like it did Steven.

Ironically after a month of pestering from my girlfriend I got mine this morning. Seems asthmatics are on top of the list.

I've read that 52% get the virus from inhaling it in some way and 30% get it from touching their own eyes, mouth, nose after their hands have been contaminated by touching a 3rd party object. Apparently the virus can live for 2 days on a surface. Be careful to wash your hands after touching 3rd party objects like door knobs , shopping cart handles, gas pump handles, pens, community use magazines, etc.

Again I am so sorry for the loss that you and your family have suffered.

Post by: Brian Krebs on November 11, 2009, 08:22:00 PM: I am very sorry for the loss. Wow - I just got over some virus of some kind; just stayed inside the whole time. But I am 58 and I think this stuff is more a danger to my 'kids' ( 31 &38 ) than to us old guffers.
I think if someone gets sick; they should immediately stay home and attend to it.
It is so sad to lose a friend and a 'child' - I again am so sorry for the loss !
