Went to see the Dr yesterday about some problems I'd been having. Dr said it appeared the cancer had grown 30% to 40% since September which isn't good when it's supposed to be slow growing. Set up an appointment with the surgeon to get another ct scan to see if it's grown that much. At least I have an excuse for my big gut. Going to get stretch marks if something isn't done. Dr thinks I'm pregnant. Thanks for the prayers.

The surgeon agrees that it has grown significantly and will try to get a ct scan set up yet this week. Then we will get together and discuss what he sees and set up the surgery date and how far we should go with it. Not the best news but I'm still a lot better off than Adler.
I try to smile all the time regardless of the situation. It feels a lot better, doesn't steal energy from me, and it spites the source of the trouble.
Have a great day and thanks for your prayers.

Will keep the prayers coming, my friend.

Galen,
Let me know if you need a hand with anything.
I live across ABQ from you but get over to RR fairly often with work.

I had my ct scan yesterday and met with my surgeon this morning. The results weren't what I'd like but God is always in control. Based on the ct scan the tumor is larger now than when they removed some of it 2 1/2 years ago. At that time the scan show it was mostly on the left side and was dark with a few bright spots which indicated activity. This time the left side was similar to the last time but now it has spread over the the right side as well. The portion on the right is all bright indicating it is actively growing. We talked about some alternatives but the surgeon wants to take the case to the UNM Hospital Oncology Board on Wednesday where Drs, Surgeons, and Oncologists review each case and determine a plan. Once my Surgeon gets back with me I'll fill you in on what he thinks the plan of treatment will be.
I really appreciate everyone's prayers. I can't tell you how good it feels to be able to rest in God's love and security. I sense Him telling me to rest in that and not let fear and worry steal my strength. I will need that when He is ready for me to fight.
Thank you,

Looks like I will need a cesarean but don't know if it's a boy or girl. Actually the meeting turned out pretty well. According to the oncologist the sarcoma appears to be intact and not growing into the other organs. She is scheduling a needle biopsy to determine for sure what phase it is in which will determine if I will need chemo or not. But they will most likely need to do surgery to get it out. It also looks big enough I'll be able to back off on my diet once it's removed. Thanks everyone for your prayers. I have felt so lifted up I have to be careful I don't come across as not taking this seriously. I will keep you updated as soon as the biopsy is done and we meet with the oncologist again.
Thank you so much for your prayers.

I forgot to mention Maxine's experience during last weeks devotion time. Each time the same word kept coming up and she would think this isn't right and would try a different direction but it kept coming up over and over again. The word was "Celebrate".8^) Isn't God Great!!!!!!!!!!
-
That is neat... Maxine can"CElebrate" her Aunts coming thru surgery and the fact that your Oncology team is forming a plan for you as well.
Keep us posted and tell Maxine that we "celebrate" with her!

Prayers go out for a full and healthy recovery and healing.

I'm in the hospital. Had a blood test Friday am and my oncologist called and told me to get into the ER asap. My blood numbers were way off. It looks like it coming around ok. Will most likely stay hear till tomorrow and get the biopsy done.
-
That explains the "silence" lately.
Dang, Son. Sure hate to hear that you took a turn!
Get that bad stuff outa the way so you can get back on the pony and get this thing all taken care of!

Well it's Monday the 28th and I'm still in the hospital. Supposed to be checked out tomorrow. Well I found out why I was so dizzy and fatigued. My Calcium levels were at 16.4 when high is ll. My hemoglobin is in the low 7s which means I using oxygen as if I were at 10,000 feet. I've ended up with a blood transfusion, a bone scan to be sure the cancer hasn't entered the bone, and a bunch of other things I'm not sure what they were for. But I am feeling really good and the Drs are very happy. So I'll see the oncologist Wednesday to see where we go from here.
As always thanks for the prayers
