Short note......wont make a big deal of it but prayers appreciated.
Best friend still and yet IS my ex wife and also my son's mother, Jenny has had cancer for two years.
They told her she was "cancer free" in Nov and March found her back in with "new" pain and issues so chemo went to weekly sessions.
They discontinued her chemo "because it's not working" and I got his news walking out of a surgeons office finding out I have extensive back surgery in the works probably in July/Aug.
Lord......we need your guidance and peace.
Some may feel that it "odd" I feel as I do but she was a wonderful wife, always has been a wonderful person and I could not describe or hope to find a better mother for our son, Steve Jr.
We have a catscan July 8 to see if (as the doctor thinks) it has "spread" and if there is any hope at all attempting radiation or possibly more surgery to get "some" of it.
For her and my son.....I ask Jenny and Steven be added to your prayer list asking His guidance for us all and understanding of His will.
God Bless.....one and all.

Your measure as a man and a believer is only heightened by your continued love for an "ex" spouse! Kudos!
Prayers for His perfect will to be healing for her and for your surgery to go well.
May you continue to blend well apart for many years thru God's healing touch.
May peace be with all of you as you wait outcomes and the Lord's ministry!

Steve,
I hope you do know how many come here and add folks to their prayer list but never, ever post.
I have been humbled to learn of many, many folks who would approach me at a shoot for instance, and ask about something I had shared here.
Never saw them post on Gang period, but they come, read, pray and keep us in prayer.
The "Silent Majority" is an awsome crew right here!

Sir:
I have sent prayers from Ky. May all three of you be blessed from this moment (12:53 EST) and for the rest of your lives.

2 Corinthians 12:10
King James Version (KJV)
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
I'm listening, Lord!!! (and offering your word of strength to others).
Updates will not follow on Jenny's condition till July 12 after results from the catscan come in (no rush, eh? hmmm)and also later (sigh) July for my own concerns and date of surgery.
Our fear for Jenny and my "issues" are indeed being eased a bit with Jenny and I expecting our first grandchild the first week of October.
Prayers also that this blessing goes according to His plan and Ivory Rayn Reid joins us whole and healthy and her mother endures the ordeal in good health as well.
Lord if you must take Jenny, let it be after she holds her grandchild. IF it be in your will, I pray you would allow her a year or two loving Ivy once she is born and be able to hold her close to her heart just a short while.
A better mother of my son, I could not have asked for and as a grandparent she would be perfect.
Amen
God Bless!!!
