Lamont Granger who was the owner of the Footed Shaft in Rochester, MN passed away this past Saturday morning. He had been sick with cancer for a couple of years. For all of you who knew Lamont and bought archery gear from him, this is a sad day but also a happy one. He will not suffer any longer and has gone to be with God. I would ask that all of you keep his family in your prayers. Sincerely, Jeffrey Owen

Lamont was truely one of the good guys,a friend, a mentor, Lamont had a vast knowledge on all things in traditional archery and really treated people fairly in all his dealing. He is highly respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. Bless you my brother of the bow and prayers and condolences to the Granger family. Ron Roehrick.

I didn't know the man, but reading these tributes here and on Pow Wow, I'm a poorer man for not having done so.

Lamont was looking down and smiling, it was a outstanding memorial Service held today in Rochester Minnesota for our friend Lamont, his favorite Bear recurve and a back quiver full of arrows and his favorite music playing. Also a very touching and funny eaulogy delivered by his son in law. Ron

Bought my first Hill from Lamont. He was a pleasure to deal with. Always in a good mood & never in a rush. Always very fair with me in our dealings. Really liked him & spoke with him a few times just to keep in touch.
