Just found out that my minister of many years, who has been going thru a battle with his wife's cancer, is really having a hard time of it. The strain of it is really taking its toll. He retired some years ago, but has come back on duty at least 3 times since then in various churches in need. He was there for us when my mother in law passed away from cancer, and so many other folks as well. Please keep Carl and Jan in your prayers.

God has shown you a need. Perhaps you and others could be the catalysts who call on the 3 churches to seek a way to minister to the minister (pay back time, in other words).
Most ministers give soooo muuuuch, sometimes they just need to receive, not necessarily monitarily, but in other ways - painting or work around the house, an oil change, tires rotated, a yard mowed, a mini-vacation gifted, sitting with his wife, a weekly phone call or visit, an invite to lunch or supper, or gift card to a restaurant, a counseling session with another mature minister that's been there.....
Father, may Carl and Jan rest in YOU, letting us be your hands and feet, as ministers to our brother and sister in Christ.

Prayers for God's best and the ability to accept it.

Those who serve in that capacity, as CS says, are often left to falter when the chips are down.
Never worry about the right words, Moses didn't have them and stuttered...God will provide if you but step forth!
Prayers for peace for this couple in a dreadful battle with evil Cancer!
