My father is near the end he has been an Alzheimer patient for many years now. Also need prayer for our church that is hosting the harvest crusade, need prayer for many people to come and to come to Christ.

I'm sad to read that you've had to watch and suffer along with your father with that dreaded disease.
I was fortunate in that my father had a mild stroke, then a pretty good year, followed by a steady decline for another year and then passed quickly. The last months, while still sharply aware of his surroundings, he couldn't carry a thought thru to conclusion, forgetting what he wanted to say or couldn't find the words, so he just shut down.
Helping our parent generation pass on to their Reward is not an easy task.
Prayers for an easy transition for him and for your family to find peace that passes all understanding.
Prayers too for your church's endeavor!
Keep the Son in your eyes!

James,
You have my condolences. It was a long struggle thru Alzheimer for all of you who knew and loved your Dad.
My Uncle, coping with his own bone cancer, once whispered to me that Dave, even Death is God's perfect healing..."
May God's peace that passes all understanding lay upon you all like a soft blanket!

Jim,
Sorry to hear of your loss. My mom took the same path home and it is excruciating to watch and be so helpless. After she had passed I realized that I had been grieving the whole time, as each part of her became farther away. At the end there was more relief that her journey had ended than any other emotion. I pray you find peace and remember him when he was whole.

So sorry for your loss Jim, it is a tough thing to go through for all involved. It is a blessing to know they are no longer suffering, but that doesn't make us miss them any less.
I was with both my parents at the end, lost my Dad to Cancer and Mom to C.O.P.D. and was relieved when they passed due to the amount of suffering they had to endure. The only comfort I can offer is that the pain of losing them will ease some over time.
Prayers for your Dad and family.
