With the date set for October 20th, here on Long Island for the "Walk for the Cure" at Jones Beach, we are yet again reminded of breast cancer. Unfortunately, my wife takes her team, Team Rosie, every year in honor of her Mother, Rose Marie. She succumbed to brain cancer that manifested itself in her breasts. My wife has taken the torch and leads her team every year, for more than a decade. Not asking for a donation, just asking for you and yours to be aware and get checked. There is no need to be caught off-guard. Pray for those who we have lost, those who are suffering now through it and their families and friends who mourn their losses every day.
