This Christmas morning at 6:30 a.m. Edith Louise Bolin, 91 went home to meet her God and to be with my Dad. I was blessed to have here as long as I did. She was diagnosed with heart disease when I was 17 years old and told to have here affairs in order. 41 years later the Lord took her home.
Mom instilled her love of the outdoors in me and supported me in whatever outdoor endeavor I chose to pursue. She raised 3 boys and a girl of her own and also cared for 4 other relatives from infancy through their high school years. She gifted us all with her love and common sense. Many times through my high school years I would have as many as 6 friend stay with me and she relished in fixing us all a big breakfast and sending us off to school. Mom was special and she made everyone she came into contact with feel a little more special!
On the birthday of our Lord please join me in celebrating a another life well lived.....a life filled with love and caring, teaching and nurturing. I love you Mom and you will be missed!

No person on Earth could have a better epitaph that your words, Mike.
That is a tribute anyone would be happy to have!
Condolences for your loss. Missing is part of losing what is good. Faith is knowing they're now at peace, among the saints and in their Glory as God intended!
Peace be with you.

Sincere thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts. I have spent the day making final arrangements and setting up a memorial service at our church. The folks at church are preparing us a meal after the service.
I am praying that this service will truly be a celebration of life! My Mom lived a hard life, born in the depression, raising a son while Dad was in the South Pacific during WWII. Dad drove a semi and was gone a lot, leaving Mom to handle the day to day joys and heartaches of raising the family.
I told her awhile back that I was sorry here life hadn't been easier. She told me, "son, if it was easy it wouldn't have been much fun!"
Continued prayers please for folks traveling to say goodbye to Mom!
Thanks again to all and God Bless! Mike

Mike,
You're an inspiration to us all! Accepting in Faith is a challenge for most when those close pass after living a good life. You words bespeak a True Believer's soul.
It's been 2 yrs since Dad passed, 8 for Mom, and I tried to have the same outlook, but there are still times where sadness hits like a hammer for a brief moment.
I don't know if LOVE should be any other way.
Prayers for HIS peace to continue to be with you and prayers for safe travels for those coming to pay tribute
Keep the Son in your eyes
