I have mentioned my son Justin on here before in need of prayer and guidance. Time has gone by and the law finally caught up with him. He served some time in two different jails in Oklahoma, and about a month ago with a public defender representing him he agreed to being released on a 10 year probation.
He is still in OK and trying to find employment. No place of his own or vehicle for transportation he is realizing how tough this "early release" is going to be. He has bills for court hearings, child support, etc. that he cannot be 1 day late on or it is back to jail.
If you could all send up a prayer for Justin to keep his faith and not get discouraged and give up I would really appreciate it. He is pretty low right now and I told him sometimes that is where we need to be before we turn it over to God and let him have at us.
Pray for me please that I can give Justin some positive solid advice when he needs it. It is tough being a Dad and seeing your son go through rough times(even when it has been his choice.)
On the up side of things...when Justin was in the one jail I had sent him one of the small camo Bibles from the Christian Bowhunters of America. Two of his jail buddies saw it and asked Justin if there was anyway I could get them each one. Well, you know the answer to that one.
Thanks in advance for the support folks.I will keep you posted.
Good Shooting,
Craig

Craig,
Prayers are on the way, Friend. Praying for Justin's will to be guided to the right path. I respect your stance of love and loyalty to your son but recognizing that he, alone, must be accountable for his decisions. I pray for strength and peace for you.
Don't you wish kids came with owner's manuals?
I hope to see you soon.

Graybeard nailed it.
Having met and shot with you and your wife, Craig, it has to be doubly confusing and consternating to find a child has strayed so far.
Love is NOT "enabling" but "empowering".
I will pray for Justin to find that peace that passes all understanding and for God's own hand to keep him on the path to righteousness.
I also pray for Peace for you and your wife & Family that you continue to accept this is Justin's fight and unconditional love and support is required, but bail outs are best left to misguided govts!
Keep the Son in your eyes!

There is always a fine road between enabling and empowering. It sounds like you are walking it very well.
I pray Justin learns to accept God's will but also to be responsible. I know when you are down its easy to stray and give up.
Craig, I pray you and your wife take each day with this in stride. Its gotta be tough when its your own. Things had to get worse before they got better, I pray the worse is behind you.
Hope to see you at whittingham.

This was his first full week of work. Thank you God,and thanks guys for your prayers,we really appreciate it.
He has a lot of work in front of him and bills to take care of but thank God for all of it.You only get stronger when your put thru the trials.
