6/29 full knee replacement and all went well. 7/6 and 7/8 1st PT classes. All is good....then Friday morning of the 10th a 4 AM I start to vomit blood......lots of it. 3 days in ICU with an esophagus bleed. Just got home tonight, lost a ton of strength........keep me and my family in your thoughts.
I'll pull though this, lost 11 pounds in 4 days.

Prayers sent for you Ron.

Yikes!
That sounds gnarly!
Prayers for sure on all counts: healing, strength and them to find the root cause of such a nasty thing and make sure it's FIXED!

Progress is progress, even when it doesn't measure up to our hopes or wants.
Congratulations on your progress and indeed, we'll carry you in prayer, Ron.

Prayers continue Ron, prayers to give you strength to celebrate every improvement.

Ron, I had both of my knees
replaced. It gets better in time.
Keep fighting stay strong.

Had a scope this morning and it looks like I'm healing well. I have lost 17 pounds but got the green light from the Dr. to eat a normal diet. Just have to get my strength back. To all: :notworthy:
-
Praise God and prayer for continued healing and an attitude of expectation of God's goodness.
-
Ron,
Great news. Man has to eat... take er slow and keep the healing going.
I take it that all this was totally unrelated to the knee replacement? I'm headed there come winter myself... Sure sounded scary...
I echo Galen's prayer for you to lean on His Grace and expect His blessings and healing!
Keep the Son in your eyes!
-
Ron, Glad to hear it!

Keep healin... we have some hunting to do this fall.

Dr. say I'm on the mend. Things are healing and I'm back doing rehab on my knee. Still get tired real fast but that will improve as I get stronger. Could be back shooting in a week or so.
-
Ron, sorry you have gone through this. I will pray for your healing. Jesus is the great healer.
-
Just heard about this Ron. Glad to hear in your own words that you're making good progress. Prayers up that you continue on this path!
-
Ron, glad to hear you are on your way. Continue listening to the 'man' and you'll be in fine shape. Hang in there.

8:30 am on the 30th I'll be sedated and will have my new knee manually bent to increase the range of motion that I have not gained in rehab. Should be a painful deal but it has to be to recover. Keep me in your thoughts......... :notworthy:

:archer:

You got it Hoss!
Keep the Son in your eyes... lean forward all the way!
-
Home again......have some serious pain but now rehab starts all over again.
-
Good luck with round 2. Thoughts and prayers for you.

You will make this work, I know it!!!
Give er hell, Hoss!

Back at PT......it's brutal but has to be done. She told me today that I need to take baby steps and not try to jump the fence right off. So we'll take this on step at a time and move forward.....at least I'm not crawling.....lol :notworthy:
-
Heed the pros... likely they know what they're talking about...unless they tell you to do more then your gut says is smart...final decision rests with you and for you!
Glad they can do you some good without any more surgery after all you've been thru...
Keep the Son in your eyes!
-
Finally I can ride a stationary bike, rode for 25 minutes today. Took me 2 1/2 months to get it to go around.......I guess I'm just to stubborn to stop trying.
-
Keep on keeping on! Prayers continue for complete healing
-
Ron,
With that setback you had, which could have done your ornery butt in, I'd say that starting over like you did, you're doing pretty well!
I'm living vicariously thru your efforts as my mid december replacement looms!
-
Your going to do fine Doc Nock, mine was a unique situation. I'm getting there and may even be able to get in the woods in a couple of weeks.
-
Thanks, Ron...
Only hiccup I got in front of me is I have reaction to Morphine and to the Oxy pain meds... they tell me my recovery time might be pretty gnarly!
Bring on the 500-1000 mg tylenol and fine KY bourbon?
-
Keep your focus on the prize, Ron! You will prevail.
-
Ron, you 'are coming along'; You can keep 'tryin' but don't get too stubborn.
