Title: The new guy made something. Proud, happy, and requesting spare prayers.
Post by: Keith Wolfe on May 11, 2016, 08:37:00 PM
Hey guys. Kinda new here but thought I'd ask. We have a little one on the way. All the tests have been good but we're older and considered high risk.11 weeks in and good so far, thanks to God. I'm 41 and my wife is 40. Please help us hope and pray all goes well and we do a good job raising this child. It's both of our first. Took us 10 months of waiting on God to do his deal. This has shown me yet again who's in control, and I'm glad he is. Thanks guys

Praise God on this news. I pray for the little one to be healthy happy and bring joy to the world. I ask Lord Jesus to protect mother and baby. I ask for strength for them and for the parents to continue to trust you always.

Keith,

I worked with a gal decades ago at PSU who later went on to get her Piled higher and deeper.(PHD) She did a national data base search on older women pregnancies and found that the idea that a woman is too old to bear a healthy child was no higher risk then younger women.

May that be the case in your situation. She got on national TV with her story, but the final analysis is God's Perfect Will.

I will add my prayers to the request all goes well for you, your wife and unborn child!

Besides, there is nothing here, for new or old members, like "spare" prayers.  We pray because we can and are called to do so. Our privilege!

Keep the Son in your eyes and welcome!

Well Praise the Lord. You know 40 is not old. Read on the news the other day that a couple in their 70s were expecting, do not know if it is true or not, but, The Lord wills what the Lord wills.

Psalm 139:13 -18
You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous - how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered.
I can't even count them. they outnumber the grains of sand. And when I wake up,you are still with me.
God has a plan. Oh, And CONGRATULATIONS!!
Bob

My wife and I had about the same timing as you two!  My wife was worried but I had faith that all would be fine.  We now have a wonderful and beautiful little girl!!  I'm a little older than a lot of her friends parents but who cares!  She's keeping me  young and getting me back in shape!!

Enjoy every minute of it.  It will change your life in ways you never thought possible!  You will be reborn with the Angel you receive. Evertythjng, good and bad, will be seen through different eyes. Your age and experience will only magnify this.  Those little eyes are nothing but pure love!!

Hey guys! Thanks! We found out we are having a little girl! My wife thought it was going to be a boy so I trusted her maternal instinct a little bit but I told her it could be either so I was prepared and wouldn't you know it, it's a girl. I'm excited! I did have to change my thinking a little bit just because I was leaning a little towards boy but I'm really excited and happy that God has blessed us! thanks for your continued prayers! All of our tests so far say everything is normal and healthy so God is doing his deal and we're just happy to get a chance to raise this little girl. Thanks guys

Oh, boy, are you in for it! Little girls wrap Daddy around their finger on day one! Get used to watching little girl cartoons and conducting tea parties. You are gonna love this Daddy business. By the way, start looking at pink, purple, and similar bows. Prayers will be offered for a normal pregnancy and easy birth.

Good luck and happy wishes. My sister-in-law was also over 40 and had two normal, healthy kids, so be confident and buy a little pink bow. Better get two pink bows, one for her hair and one to shoot.
