Title: My Dog Pippin
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on July 12, 2016, 07:49:00 PM
Please Pray for my Dog (child) Pippin.  He woke up in severe pain in his neck last Thursday.  hes been to several vets and they cannot find a  solution for him.

We are picking him back up tonight and will try a Holistic approach. If that doesn't work, we will have to look at the most humane thing to do.

My wife and I have been a mess.  Please pray for Pippin to get well and for my wife who has been very emotional.

Thanks Guys.

The Holistic Vet came over yesterday.  Oh my goodness what a difference between her approach and the Regular vets approach.

After an hour of massage, muscle release techniques and a  bit of acupuncture, my dog was not only up and walking but tried to get in her bag to go home with her.

It will take multiple visits and he may have a  relapse of issues occasionally but she is 100% optimistic he will back to himself soon.

The standard Vet said pain management medication (100 bucks a week), 7000 dollar surgery with no guarantee or put him down.

Holistic vet told us about several dogs who she worked on who were paralyzed for 6+ weeks at a vet clinic where she had them running around after 2-3 visits.

My pup is still in a lot of pain and is having trouble but there is a light.

Here he is with Pete Seeger

Too Cool.

I was thinking that if that first pic was of a "she" something was awry... glad that is settled!

Good news on a day that good news is welcomed...

That is one mischief-laden looking pup right there!  Like, "What can i get into next?" look!    :bigsmyl:

Thank you guys,  Its amazing what 2 visits with this Holistic vet has done when all other medicine has failed at a solution.  I felt like we were putting him down only days ago, now he hasnt taken a pain med in 16 hours.  You can tell there is a  little discomfort but not the squealing of agony.

His tail isnt tucked between his legs and his back not hunched.  he isnt walking sideways anymore and his head carriage is better.

He is eating his food again and we no longer have to shoot it down his throat.

Thanks again guys.

Charlie, It's good to see your spirits lifted with the new treatments.  Enjoy Pippin as you have;  and Pete Seeger besides, wow!

Pete's Passed on but his memory lives.  In that picture he attended a party where he rode his bicycle 15 miles to attend.  If I remember correctly, he was in his late 80's.

On a  side note, his ship "Clearwater" set sail again after a major Hull restoration.

I sing the Garden Song often, that and Little Boxes. Truly a blessed life that you and Pippin have had. Best wishes, and I am glad that you tried the alternative to established conventions.
