Title: In the ER
Post by: BenBow on August 14, 2017, 08:11:00 PM
I've had a reaction two an antibiotic I was placed on to try and take care of a kidney infection. They did a CT scan to be sure there wasn't a blockage which showed that the tumors have grown quite a bit. The doctor will be wanting to start me on a new chemo.

No hike for a while. Meet with the oncologist next Monday to discuss starting a new chemo. The good news is my kidney numbers improved dramatically with the antibiotic which opens the door for the use of the new chemo.

Prayers for you on high.  Is it MRSA where the portal is?  If so, try Manuka Honey on it.  Manuka Honey is a super substance, not just food.  God Bless.

Not MRSA but a drug resistant e-coli
Yesterday Don a believer friend and former pastor, stopped by and while he was sitting here the nurse came in to give me my pain medication. When she started injecting it I had severe stabbing pain in my leg and in my abdomen like nothing I've ever had before. The nurse went to see the doctor and Don laid hands on me and started praying and telling the pain to be removed and the source of the pain to be removed in Jesus name and I felt this warm glow all over me and the pain left and I felt as loving hug from inside from Jesus. Praise His Holy Name

Jesus never told his disciples to ask God to heal people for them but he told them to lay hands on the sick and they would be healed. God has already provided the healing through Jesus we just have to take the authority over the sickness and tell it to leave. The hard part is getting past all of the human tradition crap that we've learned

Amen to all you said, brother... Indeed, it's hard cause many of us have been so indoctrinated to believe we "Don't deserve" or do not have sufficient faith, so we can't claim the healing.

If anyone can, I have faith it'll be YOU, Galen.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Okay the news is or was I would have to stay in the hospital till the 31st of August because I would have to meet with a an infectious disease Doctor Who wouldn't be able to get me in till then. Then they did some tests and found out I was having a reaction to the IV antibiotic and switched me over to a pill form antibiotic that I had been on about a month ago. Because of that it looks like I'll be able to go home Saturday praise God

Thank you everyone I'm home and had a wonderful dinner with my wife. Just have to finish some oral antibiotics and see the doctor next week. It's going to take awhile for my body to recover but I'll sleep really well now in my own bed.

Well I'm home still suffering from nausea and pain but I'm finally finished the antibiotic which is causing all of that. A week from Wednesday I start a new chemo that has been approved here in the states for the type of cancer I have. It isn't supposed to be as harsh as the 2 chemos I had been on before. I thank God that God is already healed me in the Spirit and is teaching me how to receive my healing in the flesh.

Just as enemy soldiers are captured in war, so rebel thoughts must be taken captive and made to submit to Christ. Our battle against the devil takes place right between our ears. The spiritual weapons given to us are designed for the express purpose of taking EVERY thought captive and making them obedient to Christ. Keeping our minds completely stayed upon the Lord is an obtainable goal.
These weapons of ours are for the casting down of two things: Imaginations; and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Both of these areas are dealing with the mind. Focus on the good in every area of your life. Failure to recognize God's blessings in every day living will cause care and anxiety. Recognizing God's hand in even the smallest thing will cause peace and keep our hearts and minds following hard after the Lord.

Galen I commend you in your battle against the enemy satan and how he wants to try and ruin our spirit by always making us think God doesn't perform miracles .
As Christians we know God does heal and we know God will bring us through the battle's satan throws in our path in this life.
You have that full body of armor on my brother and I am praying with you my friend.

HOpe Galen doesn't mind, but Another "miracle" of sorts if you will.

Galen shared with me that his Chemo (new) to start tomorrow was postponed as he was back in the ER with another bowel blockage...

They got it to clear so the Chemo is back on for tomorrow.

God is still working and letting us know so! For those who listen...

Praise God!

I went into the ER yesterday morning with a intestinal blockage but thank God it broke free on the way to the hospital went anyway to have them x-ray and double check everything. They released me at 4:30 and I checked in with my oncologist in we're still on for chemo. So I'm waiting to meet with him and then if all is right proceed to installing that chemo pump

Well the side effects include mild nausea which is easily controlled with ginger candy. But I have one heck of a lot of joint pain. I've had a hard time controlling the pain. The pain levels have been in the 9 and 10 range for several hours. So I broke down and took some painkillers I'm not supposed to which include oxycodon and ibuprofen. Along with heat patches I've been able to keep it down in the 5 to 6 range. I'll call my doctor first thing Monday morning to see what he could recommend that will not cause kidney issues. This is one of the rare side effects of this chemo that I'm on and sadly I ended up with it.

Well, Bub, it's Monday afternoon...even in NM!   :)

So what did the doc say?

Wish some of the USANA stuff could help but don't know what it'd be...

I had my annual physical, which included 2 shots, Pneumo vax and flu shot, one each arm... then home for a stint in the heat digging out my chicken wire garden fence as it grew fast with all the rain we'd had early... came in soaked and fell asleep...I'm thinking those 2 shots knocked me for a loop!

Wishing you the best li'l brother!

So sorry you are suffering from joint pain.  Have you tried Tumeric therapy?  Tumeric is a very effective anti-inflammatory, there are several brands that offer capsules.  Also, capsacian creams that contain the volatile oil of hot peppers to rub onto the joint.  And there is a bee venom cream from Manuka Honey USA that helps also, as long as you are not allergic to bee stings.  You certainly do not need another fly in the ointment.
I hope you feel better.

Feels like the symptoms may be decreasing I went for a walk tonight for half a mile my hips hurt the whole way but not intolerable. Working with the doctors to get my medications two control the pain before going on to the full dose of the chemo. Feeling really good this evening pain seems to be easily controlled.
I'm using USANA Cellsentials which is the new name for Essentials. Still giving me energy  :)

Prayers abound for continued decline in joint pain... prior especially to full dose of Chemo...

Hope all works according to His plan... as it will and should.

Peace brother...thanks for the update.

The effects of the chemo are wearing off I was able to go to bed last night with just Tylenol and the nerve pain medicine which helps to deal with the residual nausea. Slept wonderful. Today there is still residual pain but it's on a much much lower level I'm controlling it with Tylenol and an occasional oxycodone. That should continue to decrease at least hopefully to the level of what it was prior to the chemo
But boy it's scary thinking about going on a full dose of that stuff and having to suffer through that. I don't know how I can handle that so they're going to have to come up with something to handle that pain

Hey Galen.
I had noticed you hadn't been around the bench much, but hadn't realized all that was happening. I'm not the most religious of people, but I'll send a prayer out with your name on it.
Hope you recover soon. Need all the help we can get to keep Roy under control.

Bvas I've been fighting this stuff for 10 years and God's kept me above ground. Bvas religion kills! You just need to know God has already forgiven all your sin from the day you were conceived to the day you leave this Earth. He just wants to show you how to receive it.

Praise God! The joint pain level from the chemo quit sometime last night. The pain level is back to pre chemo levels which I can control with a couple of Tylenol. I'd love to be able to take an Aleve which would remove all the pain but then I'd probably abuse those joints. Praising God and praying that pain doesn't return after the next infusion of chemo.

We went to the ER last night due to the pain and had a CT scan done. Found out one tumor had a growth spurt and is pushing against my innards. There was no blockage after all. We're going to see my oncologist this AM. So I'm asking that you take the authority that Jesus gave you and tell my body to be healed. Don't waste Jesus' time by asking Him to do what He's already done and wants you to do. If you don't believe me check the Bible to see what is the truth and don't believe what you hear in church. God's Word trumps man's teaching.
