Vermonster, this is magic! I just saw two hyenas passing by!
Thank you

You're welcome. It can be slow at times, but if you hit the right time it can be real cool. I watched lions take down a Gnu a few nights ago. The sounds are incredible also, hearing lions crunching bones while they fed opened up a whole new can of primal.
-
Today: Zebras and antelopes :clapper:
Do you know where the webcam is? SA?

Amazing. I'm at work, at my desk, listening to the sounds of the Arican night. Wow!
Thanks for posting it, Vermonster. any more info on exactly where it is, etc.?
-
I do not know where the camera is located in Africa, just came across the link and figured everyone here would appreciate it.
-
One day I will be hunting Africa, one day! :archer:
-
Thanks for the link Dave! That is pretty cool.
OK guys, I searched that link and found the location. I copied and pasted the description below.
Nkorho Pan is a natural water hole in the prestigious Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, in South Africa. Nkorho pan is named after Nkorho bush Lodge which gets it name from the Shangaan derivative for the call of the yellow-billed hornbill, a common and unusual looking bird from this area.

Gnus with calves tonight. Watching junior feeding right now. Will the lions show up? Well a troop of baboons has!
-
Elephant, gnus today
This is real magic
I feel like I am in a tree stand in Africa
-
Raining at the moment...might be a little slow until things dry up again.
-
this is a sweet link. No animals atm but i hear some crazy bird noises. thanks vermonster
-
About 10am things are usually pretty interesting
-
lol I live on this site, so far lion, wildebeest, cape buff. Giraffe, impala, and others
-
Anyone intereste in the Google Earth Koordinates for the camera site?!? I thought this would make it even more interesting, not?!
So I used the info provided by BTH to check the general location. From "day long" observations at different camera perspectives I made a map (sketch) to compare with the arial view and was finally able to pinpoint it down.
Here you go: E 31.598190°, S -24.731651°
BTW: After all those rain some days ago one wouldn't expect to see much game at the waterhole. But this morning and right now there is very much traffic:
Wildebeest, Impala, several Warthogs wallowing and munching gras and a troop of Vervet Monkeys came in.
Made it somewhat easier to fax my final taxidermy payment down to Derek Robinson some minutes ago :)

I think the wind must be bad cause I been lookin for 30 minutes and aint seen diddly. :banghead:

Great link. Just what I needed. Another excuse for not getting anything done. Life is great.
Thanks for sharing.

Man some of the scenes there are amazing,it took some of the romance out of it when I saw the house and car in the background.None the less that is one heck of a backyard.

What the hell is this?!?!?
Getting the message:
"The Video you are watching is pirated"
with a Matrix-Effect-Face and the advise to go to a specific website - which I wont do - of course!
One should get hold of this pirate bastard and hang him/her by the reproductive organs ...!
-
yep, I get the same thing, Falk. So you are saying do NOT go to the linked site, right?
