I am in a quandry. My outfitter says I need a visa, but according to the South African Counsel web site, "US citizens coming to South Africa for less than 90 days for vacation or meetings do not need a visa". I have emailed the Counsel.
Any insight from those who have traveled to South Africa about visas for hunting?
Thanks,
Danny

Passport was all I needed.

I'm going in Aug. and my PH said all I needed was a passport. If you're taking guns you'll need permits for them though.

We're leaving tomorrow. No visa required for US citizens for less than 90 days (or whatever), BUT South Africa requires that you have two blank pages in your passport for immigration stamps, I think they also need to be opposing each other. Stupid, but it's their rule.

Passport is all you need. Make sure your passport has longer than six month "valid" time left on it.
Good luck over there.
