Do any of you guys know of any outfitter or if it is even possible to set up a 2 or 3 day hunt for 1 or 2 animals? Such as impala and or kudu.
My wife and I are planning on going to Africa in a couple of years as she wants to do the photo safari thing. I almost feel obligated to myself to try and kill an animal or two while we are there. The problem is, the info that I have collected, all the hunts seem to be for a minimum of 5 plus days. My wife isn't going to want to spend that much time allowing me to hunt. She has other things to do. And honestly, hunting Africa hasn't been a priority of mine. I'd rather go for a moose. But if we are there, and I have a chance for a quick hunt, I would consider it.

Would you really be able to enjoy it, though? The words, "Hunt" and "quick" just dont go well together. Everything these days is all about hurrying. Hate seeing that happen to hunting.
I'm terrible about giving advice. But, if you really want to hunt africa..I'd say go when you have the time, and are able to relax and enjoy it. Cause you may not be able to make it back.

Colt, if you get info on this and can get a cheaper price for more people PM me. I would love to go and my wife would too. Kudu is what I would love to get also.

You might try InAfrica safaris in South Africa.
They have ranch hunts, lots of game, excellent
lodging and meals. They try very hard to get the
game you desire. I killed a nice gemsbok with my
Bob Lee recurve back in 1998.
They are extremely generous in donating hunts to
deserving outfits. I'm pretty sure they have
donated to PBS in the past.
Of course, I can't address the short duration you
want, but it's worth a try.
Good luck

Why not find someplace that will cater to your wife while you're hunting. There are some nice things to see in SA and if they were willing to drive wifey or several wifey's around to do the tourist thing while the fellas hunted it would be nice for everyone. Take a look a the "midlands meander" on the net and see what kind of places are available for the gals to see. I'd like to set up a group thing for next year too, I enjoyed myself so much this year that I can't wait to go back.

I know that Hamish at Lowlands safaris will let you book a hunt for the numbers of days you require. They will also arrange any activity that you’re wife would like to try.
I think I can guaranty that you and you’re wife will have a great time

Not to sound flippant, if you want to sit at a waterhole and kill something a couple days could get you some animals. If you really want to hunt and experience Africa stay away from that kind of thing. Take more time and hunt in a manner where you can say you hunted instead of just killing something at a waterhole, there's a world of difference.
It's like going to Texas and eating at Mcdonalds instead of going to a BBQ joint do you want to learn a bit about the place and its culture or just say that you visited there.
The trophies will mean so much more to you if you earn them the hard way.
