Title: First trad hunt
Post by: storm5 on January 17, 2012, 06:55:00 AM
I got an e-mail from my friend who is on his first hunt whit a recurve bow, and what a start to his traditional hunting career. Got to 25m and placed the arrow perfectly in the heart of this lion. He is hunting whit Hamish Skead at Lowlands Hunting Safaris.     (http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu305/storm5/Lvejakt-1.jpg)

Go big or go home must be his motto, i started with bunnies. That's more my speed, bunnies don't try to eat you when you miss.

Very impressive.  All it takes is knowing in your own mind you CAN do it.  If there is any doubt...you had better stick with bunnies.

I would love to hear the details.

Incredible start! I'd be back at the truck before the arrow reached the lion....that's some scary stuff right there.

I am always pretty cool under pressure of shooting a deer but with that thing in front of me I am not sure what I would do (not sure I want to find out either).
