Title: In stock, ready to ship..."Ol Timer"
Post by: Lee Robinson . on February 20, 2012, 12:09:00 PM
This bow was a demo bow that we made for Gary Sentman to travel with for a short while. He has since decided settled back down in one place instead of being on the road constantly...and is going to begin making bows again. For these reasons, we got this bow back and we are placing it up for sale as a "used bow" but with a "new bow" warranty. We polished the bow up and put another coat of finish on it, and it still essentially new (used very little being a demo). Here are the details about this bow.

This bow is 66" Protege model w/ black glass on the back over carbon. Belly is clear glass over an osage veneer. Limb core is bamboo (3 lams). Riser is pomelle bubinga, 2 strips of black phenolic with a center strip of osage, and wenge on the belly of the riser. Tip overlays are wooly mammoth ivory over black phenolic.

On a custom order, this bow would retail for...

Basic carbon bow is = $695
Pure bamboo core $20 per lam x 3 laminations = $60
Osage veneer on belly = $30
Pomelle bubinga riser (long section) = $50
Wenge riser (short section) = no charge
2 phenolic strips with osage accent in riser = $30
Tip overlays mammoth ivory over phenolic = $40
Total = 905

Sell DISCOUNTED to $695...which is the price of a stock carbon bow.

Bow specs...
Right hand pull
Bow length = 66"
54#@28"
Name on bow = "Ol' Timer" (because of the mammoth ivory).

(NOTE: In the top right photo, that is just string wax in the string grove)

Turns out this bow is still up for sale. The buyer had a failure with his tractor and needed funds for repairs.
