Title: New style of spliced veneer
Post by: Troy D. Breeding on November 08, 2014, 02:14:00 PM
Guess you can say I'm always looking for something different and unusual.

Thought I'd try a new type splicing. These are Brown Birdseye Maple and Walnut:

Here is a close up of the splice:

For the something unusual, I ran a cross a piece of Quilted Poplar about a week ago and thought "what the heck, folks are always wanting something different".

I took a scrap piece of the Quilted Poplar and dyed it with a couple different colors.

Gray dye:

Golden Brown dye:

I'll have both of these up on my site in a little while.

Troy, I love the splicing you did on those veneers! Truly a great look!
