With all the great pitures that have been showing up on the site I am looking for a new camera. I've got it narrowed down to two. An Olympus all weather and a Pentax water proof. Both are 6 mega pixles. Experts chime in please.

Bill: please excuse me if you already knew this but it doesn't take a lot of megapixels to look good on a computer monitor. Matter of fact, it is impossible to tell the difference between a 10 megapixel and 0.1 megapixel photo on a website but the smaller photo will load much quicker.
That said, I have had great luck with Olympus digital cameras but I haven't used the all weather model.

Arra,
Thanks. I don't really need that many megapixles but I want the weather protection.

Hey Bill,
My bit of research shows the Olympus as weatherproof and the Pentax as waterproof (with many more details)...my unprofessional choice would be Pentax...they're about the same cost.
See Olympus --

Both are probably very nice as far as picture taking goes, but the feature of rinsing off blood, mud, etc... on the Pentax might be nicer...weatherproof is not waterproof.
Later,
Brian

I have two Olympus c740 that have only 3.2 megapixels and they take great pictures. I love the zoom that it has on it. I haven't had any trouble from either of the camera's.
