I have my new camera in place (thanks for the advice), and I'm like a kid waiting on x-mas. I have been looking at other sites and see alot of "photo contests". I was wondering 1. how many of you have game cams, and 2. if ya'll would be interested in a "contest". Not so much for prizes, but just to see what everyone has---maybe vote for "picture of the month" or such. I think it would be cool to see how others set up thier trad areas, and what type of critters we are hunting in the different parts of the world.

go to novascotiahunting.com. LITEKPR has a 12 page thread of deer, bears, a cotote and a rabbit. In the photo gallery there are lots of game pics. I think there is an interest in a "photo contest" and know that some sites do have them.

Sarge,
I got my first trail cam for father's day. They are a lot of fun. Put a little corn and a salt block at my favorite creek crossing. Got a couple of good shots: a raccoon protecting the corn from a doe, a young buck following a doe up the creek bank and a doe and her fawns. Lets see if I can figure out how to insert these. Hopefully you'll have some good success, too. Steve (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j87/SOS_321/SUNP0036.jpg)

Oh, and ignore the time/date stamp. Ya gotta set it or it won't do right! I got a basic Wildview Extreme II off eBay. It isn't the best, but I've had good success with vids and photos - but you have to reset the time if you disconnect the battery. I'm using an old car battery and Radio Shack parts as the power supply to save from buying a bunch of C batteries. Steve
