I am considering the purchase of a new digital camera - Panasonic FZ-7. Although the new Sony DSC-H9 and DSC-H7 look interesting as well.
When the new models come out in another month or two, how much of a price drop can I expect to see in existing cameras? If there tends to be a decent price drop then I will wait.

New cameras come out constantly. Waiting for a price drop on cameras is kind of like waiting for a price drop on computers. The future always means more features for the price. Waiting for the optimum value means you'll likely never get one.
Unless you need a feature that isn't on the market yet, just go out and get the one that meets your needs the best. In a few months there will undoubtably be other cameras with more new features and older models on sale. This process will repeat endlessly.
