Dave Mullins suggested this camera for general use: a Sony Handycam DCR-SR68, and I'm glad he did.
The attached video is the first time I've tried the camera... no adjustments, no fine tuning. Sunset is around 4:50, and it's around 4:30 when the video was taken. The deer pictured bed down in the back of the property. The camera has a 60x optical zoom, and these deer are about 50 yards out (in the neighbor's yard).

In this video... the deer are 103 yards away.

Anywho... I like the camera, and do suggest it for general use / my type of use (a walk in the woods, the wife's school music programs and such, and hopefully... capturing a hunt or two).
