Title: Anywhere mount for small digital cameras
Post by: razorsharptokill on March 17, 2013, 08:56:00 PM
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/keyman/trail%20cam%20and%20hunting/DSCN0308.jpg)

I had trouble mounting my camera in the window of my pop up blind so I came up with this.

I bought the mount (two 1" ball w/ 1/4"-20 threads and the clamp thing they go in)from ram mounts and added a spring clamp and some spray paint.

Just put one of the threaded pieces through the hole already in the spring clamp and snug down. Use the t handle to loosen ball joint and adjust it that way.

Parts I ordered were:

2EA
RAP-B-379U-252025
UNPD RAM TOUGH BALL 1/4"-20 X .25" LONG
$8.65 ea

1EA
RAM-B-201U-A
UNPKG RAM DBL SOCKET ARM B BALL A LENGTH
$13.85
Shipping was about 12.00 fedex

Found another product called the clip-shot. Clips on arrows, limbs, etc...

Nice setup Jim. I use that gorilla pod for self pics.  Does well but I wish it was a few inches taller.  I like how it can be wrapped around tree limbs and such. Very lightweight too.

The gorrila pod is good too but can be hard to balance if camera mounting threads are on one end of camera. I could never get my Nikon to stay level with it.

Been playing around with options, and made this vid recently.

Used other devices over the years, but I'm liking this a lot...
