Title: How do I improve video?
Post by: Bladepeek on July 12, 2013, 11:47:00 AM
I've noticed a lot of videos posted on Trad Gang are pretty jerky. I just got a Nikon5100 for a combination birthday, Christmas and Fathers Day present. I took some form videos with resolution set to high. They don't look bad on the camera viewer and if I open them on my computer with Windows Picture Manager, they're OK. If I use Windows Movie Maker, they turn into a super hi-res, smooth video, but Photo Bucket doesn't support that image type. I uploaded the un-edited video and it seems just a bit jerky on Photo Bucket. When I load it onto Trad Gang, it's so jerky it looks like my draw is in 3 or 4 steps with missing chunks. I used the bottom "img" option on Photo Bucket to place the video on Trad Gang. Would it be smoother if I used one of the other link options? Or video at a lower quality so the data isn't so huge?

After what is probably a lot of unnecessary rambling, my question is "how can I post a decent video on Trad Gang so someone can clearly see my draw; anchor; release sequence to help me work on it?"

Have you tried uploading a lower resolution/smaller size video?  Playback could be clunky because the server can't handle large files... it's something I would try.  Good luck.
