I went up to Oklahoma to hunt with a long time friend this weekend. I had several does come in the first morning but never had one turned where I felt good about the shot. That afternoon I whacked a nice one. I was using my anniversary collector bow. At the shot it looked like I didn't get any penetration but when I dressed her it had passed thru both lungs.

Buff,
thanks for another great video!!!
I am curiuos though, you shoot the Silver Flame head, which is suppose to be a awesome bh. A black widow bow, which is "high performance". I am wondering why you don't get better penetration??? The knock down power is impressive.
Not that I am better, but I shoot a 58lb St. Joe River longbow with 550gr. Goldtips tipped with a WW and go right through deer. Sometimes my arrow ends up in the opposite shoulder, however, I have even broke the opposite shoulder and poked out that side.

I'm shooting the 1-7/8" version of the GK head. From my 74# bow the head is sticking out the other side 90% of the time. I think it was a little too much head for the 55# bow and light arrow.

Buff,
What weight arrow are you shooting?

with that light bow I was shooting 500 grains

Per usual excellent! Thank you.
