hey guys. im 13 years old and i went out for the first time this year.... and i already got 2 deer in the bag. i was using a 55# bear recurve, with gold tip arrows, and some sasquach broad heads.here's the story.
i sat in my stand for about 45 mins., when i looked out into the picked corn field, and there was a 130 lbs. doe. she wouldnt gve me a shot, so i waited. eventually, she walked behind me (of coarse). she had walked into the thick brush, but there was an opening made by a forked tree. and when she put that front leg forward....THWACK. a perfect shot. double lunger. a complete passthrough. she only ran about 16-20 yards. so i called my dad, who was in his ground blind, and my sister picked up. i told her i shot a deer. but she didnt believe me, so she told my dad that i was lying. so then i got down, and looked for blood. but couldnt find any. so i started alking in the last place i heard her running, and there she lay. dead as a rock. so i started backtrackin her, and found the blood trail. when i got 2 the begining of it....i found my arrow. and it was stuck in the bottom of a tree. well i still had a good hour left of shooting lite, so i stuck the arrow back in my quiver, and got bac up in my stand. not 20 mins. later, another doe walked rite underneath my stand. i didnt really realize how small she was when i saw her, but i put the smack down on her. i hit th guts a little going in. but coming out i took out both lungs and the top of the heart. another complete pass through. she ran about 30 yards. we didnt find her that nite, since there wasnt much blood. so we went out the next morning and found her. WHAT A HEART POUNDING EXPERIENCE! :bigsmyl: (http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/rr178/coltonjaquay75/Picture007.jpg)
