Good luck. I love Maine & I need to back up there for a Bear hunt with Da Bow
-
Good luck Marty!!!
-
Good luck..Can't wait for the rest.

Very cool. I have hunted bear in Minnesota, with Bow- not very successfully however. Great idea videoing the phases of the hunt. I may try it as well this year-the video part anyway. I wore down on bear hunting last year. I had a bait site with good activity, one nice boar taken, and then nothing but an otter stealing my bait. Just concentrating on deer this year.

I guess sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. :jumper:

Sorry I was so slow getting back. Both gun hunters shot a Bear last night. One was so excited he sent us west looking for it. It had went East. We were 2:00 am getting in.
As hard as it is to believe I had a small Bear hang out with me all afternoon and I didn't shoot it. I was glad when it got too dark to shoot as I was loosing my self control and the little Bear seemed to be about 10 pounds heavier every time it came back.

That was what a 5' bear about 100#'s or so?
-
wow the way that little guy left out of there i would have expected a bigger bear to come into the bait. is this self guided or with an outfitter? just courious.
-
wow just went back and watched you shoot! you are the man! great shootin..
-
It's almost like we are there with ya ... keep it coming!!
-
Glad to see the bear didn't get you. I can't wait till the next installment.

Last night I set up on a problem Bear. Just before dark I looked up and he was standing 5 or 6 yards from me. In case you were wondering Bears look bigger when you are on the ground with them. After a short stand off I was able to get the camera turned on. I had poured some bait out at 12 yards. The main bait was set at 20 but it just looked too far setting in the ground blind. I drew my bow and let down three times as the shot just didn't feel right. He finally posed for me and Auto pilot kicked in. I LOVE the feeling. The bow comes up, the string comes back and the whole world blurs out until there is nothing in focus but the little tuff of fur your staring at. It was Great. I can't say enough good things about Pete. Wild Country Outfitters is one of the best outfitters I have ever hunted with. A great fellow with a fantastic place to hunt.
I will edit a better clip when I get home to my main computer but for now I have a short one I did on my lap top.

-
Well done Marty, Thank you for sharing.
-
Marty,
You need to do your own show with all the footage you have, and call it Buff's Backstrap Bonanza!!!! I am tired of seeing skinny hunters on videos, no disrespect I hope considering what I think your nick name means. When I get the money I am going to get a camera and call my show XXL Outdoors and show the tricks and trials for us big boned people in the woods. You and your videos are awsome, and I have loved each one. I love the african music as well fits your videos perfectly. :clapper:

If I tried to sell a DVD, I wouldn't be able to post my stuff on sites like this. The Mods would whack them thinking I was just advertising my DVD
