Just returned from a 7 day hunt in the Cascades of Washington with my Dad, brother and brother in law. Since this was my 5th year hunting the same area, I had a good idea of what the elk where up to. Ended up shooting this bull at 15 yards on day 2, and my brother shot his first bull with a wheelie bow on day 3. Both of us had to chase these guys down as the elk in this area are quite call shy due to the proximity of a nearby horse trail and hunters associated with it. My bull went 50 yards, and my brother's only 10 yards before piling up. A great trip overall.

Congratulations to you and your brother! Both of you should be very proud of your accomplishments.
It looks like the rack being packed out is from your brother's bull? Differs from the one in your picture. I too would love to see more pictures if you would e-mail or PM them. Man, I would love to try elk hunting someday, but don't think these old legs would stand up to the terrain.

Well done! Nice to see a feller's hard work pay off for him. Maybe someday I'll be able to hunt those critters again. They sure do live in purdy country.
-
Nice bulls, congratulations.
-
If both bulls were taken with an arrow then I'df love to see both. I don't see anything wrong your brother with making the wheelie choice anymore than I do you in choosing the traditional bow. I congratulate you both. I hope I get the chance at one myself someday.
God bless,Mudd

What Mudd said!
Congrats to BOTH!
Awesome pics (at least the ones I can see...LOL!!)

Thanks Guys. For those interested, the bow is a Fedora Xcellerator, 55@27, shooting a 500g CE tipped with a Muzzy 4 blade. Here is a pic of everyone with my brother's bull.
Just removed the pic. I'll pay closer attention to the rules next time.

While I congratulate both you and your brother and love to see the animals, the rules of this site clearly state no posting of pics of animals not taken with traditional gear. The mods and admin have enough trouble keeping things straight on this site and it would be much easier if we would all follow the rules.
