Title: just gat back from ray hammonds(pics added)

it was a blast.all you turkey hunters are lucky because they are all over the place.i took my first animal with my trad bow other than small game.i shot  
a little 65 pound boar at 5 yards.if i had the money i would be going back to hunt turkeys.the guys in camp were all great

Congrats on your first...and 5 yards too.  Awesome.  That sure is some pretty country he's got over there.  If its the same as I've seen before in Ray's pictures.  Very pretty land.  I bet a turkey/pig combo would be the bee's knees.

well on the last day i was working a road that had small pines on my left and open woods on my right.they crossed the road about 100 yards in front of me comming from the big woods to the pines.a small ditch runs along the pines they stopped in it feeding so i slipped up on them.one started up the ditch so i let one fly and the ditch blew up with pigs.my pig just spun a few times then fell over where i shot him

How did the guys from Maine do, the ones in the picture with you?   We need the story from you because I know all of them and if they were telling the story.... well, lets just say that there might be a little "enhancing" going on.

They are probably only about half way home by now so let's have a sneak preview.

Craig,Just got home at 1145 after we drove straight through,left Rays at 2:30 Sun. To tired to think up a good "story" right now but I'll work on it.We had a great time,wish you and Dad could have gone but everything worked out fine

Sure had a good time with you, Bob, Mike, and Jeffie..as well as Mark and the Kasey-meister!!

I left right after you guys and got almost all the way to Augusta GA and had to turn around and go back, as I realized I left my daily meds over there in the bathroom-SHEESH!

I was 9pm getting home.

you went back in to the camp 6 times and you still forgot something, it sure is sad when they get old ha ha.those northern boys sure talk funny but when  
your stuck in the woods with them they are great to be around

Teeth are over rated!  The other problem has an easy fix.  Just eat more.  I am sure Ray could give you a lessen or three.  If it weren't so far to drive you could come up here and I could give you one week crash course on gaining weight and power eating.  LOL!!!

I know the white house well. Sheltered me from a downpour while I chuckled inside at the thought of the others out there getting soaked!  Ray's got a great place and a great hunt.  Good job!   :thumbsup:

So, who talks funny?  Us Mainers, eh?  Hahahaha!  

What a great time!  I told Ray that if it wasn't so far, I'd be there every weekend!

I had a couple of opportunities at pigs... one I actually shot, but it was really close and I hit it high and apparently, I just hit pork chops and nothing vital.  I never recovered the pig... and I feel really crappy about it.  The last morning I ran into another sizable hog, but the shot wasn't there and I wasn't going to wound another.  

I look forward to heading down again sometime soon!

I had a great time as always with Ray. The maine boys and Kasey were awesome. I shot 2 pigs but we did not have a camera with a wide enough lense to get them in the picture Ha ha. Takes a better shot to hit the little ones.

I am in LA interviewing for a job now. I will post some pics when I get home.
