Hi folks,
We see a lot of talk about wolves on here. I personally ask you to put some of that talk into action by commenting on the USFWS delisting proposal. Here are the facts: http://www.fws.gov/mountain-prairie/species/mammals/wolf/NRM_wolf_DPS_%2002082007.pdf
Comments are due April 9th. Here is the email: [email protected].
You can reiterate all the USFWS reasons for delisting as your support. Keep it professional and make your subject line "I support delisting of wolves". That makes it easy for them to tally which will be the first thing politicians ask when they decide on the delisting. I guarantee the anti-delisting side is bombarding them.
Thanks.
John

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has extended the public comment period on its recent proposal to delist the northern Rocky Mountain's gray wolf an additional 30 days.
The comment deadline is now May 9.
USFWS proposed in January to delist the northern Rocky Mountain's gray wolves in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming--and parts of Washington and Utah. The USFWS said that the population exceeds recovery goals. The federal agency also said that all the potential threats to the wolf have been resolved, except for inadequate state regulations in northwestern Wyoming.
In addition to extending the public comment deadline to May 9, USFWS will hold a second public hearing in Wyoming on April 19 in Cody.
Comments on the proposed delisting can be sent via email to [email protected]; or through mail to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Wolf Delisting, 585 Shepard Way, Helena, MT 59601. For more information on the federal proposal, visit www.fws.gov/mountain-prairie/species/mammals/wolf/. (http://www.fws.gov/mountain-prairie/species/mammals/wolf/.)
