Title: National ban on leg hold traps proposed
Post by: tamure on April 12, 2007, 10:27:00 AM
This isn't exactly hunting related, but darned close. Dems propose a national ban on the sale or transport in interstate commerce of leg hold traps, as well as any article that comes from an animal trapped in one of said traps. So yes, JC Penney would be in deep doo-doo for selling you that coat with the little strip of coyote fur around the hood (setting aside the problem of proof for the moment).

It gets better. The bill would require the Secretary of the Interior to give a reward to anyone providing information leading to a conviction. It looks to me like antis are trying to pass a bounty on trappers.
