Mike,
I am glad to see that the current Federal administration has turned this over to Idaho and Montana to manage the wolf populations in their respective states. There is a definite need for management! On the news tonight, there was a segment about the de-listing (again)and the groups who will file suit to stop the de-listing once again. I can't see their disapproval. The Idaho Fish & Game Commission has set a population quota of over 500 for pack populations, while the USF&W Service has set 150 as the minimum population for our state.
The bear and mountain lion populations in Idaho are doing well and the F&G can manage the wolf population as well. They need to get on with management to help our elk and deer populations recover from the predations. I wonder if anybody will get a wolf with their bow?
