I'm in Louisiana and am curious about traditional heads (stone, bone, etc.). I haven't ever seen anything in our hunting reg book about types of broadheads that are legal. Does anybody know anything about this? It would be next year at the earliest before I could give this a try but I want to make sure I'm legal first.
Thanks,

Hey Matt,
It used to say a well sharpened metal broadhead, at least 7/8" wide. I don't see that in the regulations any more. Best bet would be to call your local chapter of wildlife & fisheries. Just to be on the safe side. I'm pretty sure stone or bone, well sharpened would be legal, but I wouldn't want to tell you wrong. Good luck buddy.

primitive points such as stone and bone are legal in Louisiana as well as steel.
