The problem is there are a lot more of them than us and they will feel entitled to push us out if they are helping with funding
The outdoors crowd is often not hunter friendly same with equestrians

Not sure what the answer is out here. CA has a lot of National Parks and State Parks but most all of it closed to hunting. The last thing I want to do is have more land closed off to hunting because hikers & mountain bikers with different values suddenly feel entitled to some say in the matter. Public land hunting for non-lottery zones is difficult enough so recruiting even more hunters into the mix isn't necessarily going to help either. We also get a lot of outdoor tourism -- people visiting from other states and many other countries. Will this give people from other states some say in how things are managed here? Lots of potential for unintended consequences.
