Title: Want to shoot heavier arrows.
Post by: toyrecurves on January 14, 2008, 09:41:00 AM
Hey everyone, I shoot a browning wasp. It is 47# at 28" but i am shooting about 45# with it. The arrows that i have been using are beman 500's with 100gr tips/broadheads. I have had problems with penetration on deer and am thinking about shooting a stiffer arrow and/or heavier broadhead. I tried field tips that were 125 and arrows flew bad!!! I dont know what to do.

I would think that they would be too stiff like they are.  How do you know they are too weak?

Its just the weakest beman that most stores have. They usually have 500, 400, 340, 300. So i just thought that i would go to a more gr/in arrow. I'm just learning this stuff. This is the 3rd time i posted this topic. They kept moving them so i didnt think that they were there...sorry
