Title: Finished a skinner
Post by: sticshooter on February 13, 2008, 06:19:00 PM
This was supposed to be a bigger skinner and WIDE! but she cracked alittle when I quenched her. so I reworked it and this is what I ended up with.<><  (http://inlinethumb37.webshots.com/27556/2082180460051876912S500x500Q85.jpg) (http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2082180460051876912BjLYoW)

Didja heat the oil Frank? Kind of slows down the shock effect of the quench. Nice job none the less.

Yep always do. I thnk because maybe the blade is 1/4' thick I should have left it in the oil a tad longer before dipping into the water.<><
