Title: Where do get your brass from?

Just wondering if you buy a piece of stock or find another source? I have set of brass hinges that I think I can cut and use. Gilbert.

Most brass hinges are not solid brass...just brass plated. I learned! LOL!

Jantz is one, Sheffield Knife Supply, Texas Knife Supply? I have gotten brass rod at Lowe's but it is kind of hit and miss. Hope this helps. I'm sure there are alot of others.
