Here is Seki City blade from Japan with a buckeye burl handle and mosaic pins. No sheath yet. Enjoy!

Love the grain on in the buckeye burl.I have some buckeye burl,only much darker.How hard was getting the shape of the handle finished??Any pitting or voids in the burl??

Soft stuff! Be careful when sanding...easy to over do it! There are some voids which I filled with super glue. This stuff is kind of a mystery when finishing. These were pale yellow/whitish until I put the finish on them.

Very inspiring! That burl and blade are a perfect match. Just finished for the night on another one I'm making, now I'm going back to work on it another hour. Thanks.
