Well, trans-axle maybe. I am not real sure of the terms associated with car parts but I have been given a "trans-axle" from a 60's model car. It is a rear axle looking thing in two sections and they are splined in the center, for the differential, I am assuming. They are approximately 1-1.25" thick at the center and taper a bit wider towards the wheels. What type of steel is this? I am wanting to make some knives from it if suitable.
Thanks, Bret
